INTERNATIONAL REPORT — Three brands recently signed agreements in Vietnam, adding to their lists in Asia-Pacific.

Avani Hotels & Resorts signs three

Avani Hotels & Resorts strengthens its relationship with Novaland Group in Vietnam with the addition of three new properties in Ho Chi Minh City, Vung Tau and Cam Ranh.

Avani Vung Tau Resort is located in the port city of Vung Tau. It is slated to open by the end of 2019 with a combination of 149 beachfront and hillside rooms.

Scheduled to open in late 2021, Avani Saigon is located in Historic District 1 of Vietnam’s largest city, Ho Chi Minh, surrounded by a mix of colonial and modern architecture with sidewalk cafes and cafes. . The 217-key property will be part of a 38-story mixed-use complex that includes retail stores and residences and will include an all-day restaurant and Avani spa.

Avani Cam Ranh Resort & Villas, which opens at the end of 2022, is located on Vietnam’s peaceful south-central coast. The resort will include 300 guest rooms and suites, as well as 315 private villas, an all-day restaurant, specialty bistro, and beach club, with meeting and banquet space for oceanfront events.

Hyatt plans Park Hyatt, Hyatt Place in Vietnam

A subsidiary of Hyatt Hotels Corp. signed an agreement with a subsidiary of BIM Group to develop a Park Hyatt Phu Quoc hotel with 110 keys, as well as 65 residences. Scheduled to open in 2022, Park Hyatt Phu Quoc will offer two restaurants, a bar, a poolside barbecue, two swimming pools, a lakeside spa, a gym with a lap pool, a village for Kids Camp Hyatt, over 4,300 sq. ft. of event space and an organic farm.

In addition, a subsidiary of Hyatt has entered into a management agreement with a subsidiary of Ben Thanh Holdings to develop a Hyatt Place hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. The new 200-key Hyatt Place Saigon Phu Nhuan will be the first Hyatt Place hotel in Vietnam. The hotel will reside in the Phu Nhuan district, which is considered the geographic center of Ho Chi Minh City due to its central location and accessibility from all surrounding areas. It will offer a café, a take-out food market, a bar, a lobby lounge, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness center and two meeting rooms.

Meliá Hotels International unveils its rebranding plans

Meliá Hotels International has signed a new property in Vietnam, expanding the group’s presence in the country where it currently operates six hotels, and seven more are in the pipeline. The company will take over the management of The Reed Hotel, Ninh Binh, Vietnam, in May 2019. Ninh Binh’s new property will open under the group’s wellness-focused brand, Meliá Hotels & Resorts, in 2020, after a complete renovation.

Meliá Ninh Binh will offer 160 rooms and suites, as well as facilities for meetings and events. Managed by Meliá Hotels International, the Ninh Binh Convention Center is right next to the property, providing further MICE opportunities for both business and leisure travelers. Meliá Ninh Binh will have an infinity pool with city view, fitness center and VIP service Meliá Hotels & Resorts, The Level, offering private check-in and check-out, as well as other facilities exclusive. There will be an all-day restaurant serving international cuisine, as well as a café and an à la carte restaurant serving local specialties.
