Vietnamese tourism receives several awards
Vietnam won three awards at the 2nd World MICE Awards, the global initiative that recognizes and rewards excellence in the MICE industry (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions).
Ho Chi Minh City was honored as Asia’s Top MICE Destination 2021 while Sheraton Grand Da Nang Resort (Da Nang City) was recognized as Asia’s 2021 Best Incentive Hotel and Vietnam Airlines as the Best MICE airline of Asia 2021.
Rina Van Standen, Director of the World MICE Award, said the winners had creative ways to overcome a series of difficulties and challenges facing the MICE tourism industry through customer experiences and reviews, adding that these innovations have helped serve customers better.
The results follow a year-long search of the world’s leading MICE brands. Votes were cast by MICE industry professionals and the public, with the nominee with the most votes in a category being named the winner.
In October, the World Travel Awards awarded Vietnam the title of Asia’s # 1 destination in 2021 and Asia’s # 1 sustainable tourism destination 2021.
